Boodramsing was all the rage from race three where he met the John O’Brien-trained three-year-old Soca Harmony. On this occasion, she came out of the stalls running and engaged Smoking Heels for a long time before Supremacy came to challenge. However, once they were in the clear as Brian just allowed her to go and collect the first prize cheque.

Boodramsing came back smiling with little or no protection from his arch-rivals and gave the 2-5 favourite a master ride. He broke well and sat at the head of the field as he took control of the pace before giving all around him the come get it run. At the far turn, three horses were coming set to battle. However, once the horses swung for home Boodramsing gave his Princess Aruna the office and he strolled clear to comfortably beat Twitter King and Sexy Eyes.

The third race was the best for the day’s programme as Boodramsing showed them who was the saddle boss while pushing the 1-2 favourite Soca Rhapsody who lost last time out. However, on this occasion she was swinging on the bridle. With 600 metres left in the event Soca Rhapsody took control and the further they went the easier the race became. At the top of the straight Soca Rhapsody was cruising from News Flash who moved to challenge and Leonardo Angel with Wang Chung back in fourth.

Coming to the final 100 metres, it was all Soca Rhapsody with News Flash staying on stoutly for second place
The final race was a good ride as Boodramsing put the 1-5 favourite straight to the front and never saw another horse until the final 50 metres of the race where the 5-1 shot got up in the final stride to win. Finishing Touch proved difficult to beat and he passed the favourite Crown Prince to win by a short-head
Two winners earlier in the day gave the jockey and trainer Ricky Jadoo and trainer Michael Lutchman a d afternoon. Both jockey and trainer were calm by the day’s activities.
